I’m Ashish Rana, a solar PV reliability researcher working at the intersection of physics-based modeling, material behavior, and long-term performance prediction of photovoltaic systems. My work focuses on understanding how PV modules age, degrade, and evolve over time — and how we can enhance their durability, efficiency, and contribution to a clean-energy future. Currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Solar Photovoltaic Reliability at Hasselt University in collaboration with TotalEnergies, IMEC, and EnergyVille, I combine scientific rigor with hands-on industry experience gained in the Indian solar manufacturing sector, where roles in process optimization, reliability testing, and material evaluation shaped my foundation in real-world PV performance.
